Our Highest Recommendation
FootJoy Pure Touch Limited
Made with Cabretta leather for a tight, well-tailored fit, the FootJoy Pure Touch excels in comfort and grip. The leather they source provides the perfect balance of softness and tackiness for a controlled grip, and the thickness of the material is just right. The glove contours nicely to the club grip and doesn’t ride up or move without adding any bulk for the fit. The soft leather scrunches just right during your swing for that high-end feel. The only downside is durability, as it is an all-leather glove. Unfortunately, its softness is a luxury that comes at the expense of faster wear and tear. That and the fact that it’s one of the pricier gloves on our list may turn some away, but it’s well worth the investment. With a phenomenal 4.8 out of 5 star average on Amazon out of over 700 reviews, it’s clearly beloved out in the field. Here’s what one reviewer said: “This is my favorite golf glove. High quality materials, sizing is spot on and comfort is great. I play 30-40 rounds of golf a year and this glove will last about a season. Worth the extra money compared to some other gloves.” -
Best Budget Golf Glove
MG DynaGrip All-Cabretta
For an excellent price, you get a high-quality construction and 100% Cabretta leather-made glove with the MG DynaGrip. The soft, thin leather of the glove makes for a solid club grip and a good feel, inspiring greater confidence in your swing. The flip side is that it comes with slightly thinner leather than other gloves, which doesn’t feel quite as high-quality. In addition, the fit isn’t on par with other high-end leather golf gloves, making it slightly bulky. Overall, however, you’re getting one of the best deals on the list with this glove. This is especially the case if you’re looking for a genuine leather glove for the best price. With a fantastic 4.6 out of 5 star average on Amazon, reviewers have this to say: “The glove is very comfortable and fits as expected. Quality is better than most synthetic material gloves I’ve owned. You won’t be disappointed.” -
Best Tailored Fit Golf Glove
Titleist Players Glove
Now, if we switch gears slightly, the Titleist Players glove is a bit more expensive but makes up for it with its exact fit. The elastic wrist cuff is smaller on this model, increasing the feeling of a custom-fit glove. If you can find the right size, the Titleist Players Glove will provide top-quality craftsmanship with great materials, such as its high-end tanned Cabretta leather. The style of the glove is also classic and timeless coming from Titleist, one of the most trusted brands in the business. As with other gloves made of high-quality, soft leather, it’s a little more expensive and less durable. It is helped in its construction by reinforcements around the thumb and cuff areas, two of the areas most likely to buckle first. But, in terms of feeling and how it’ll help your grip, it doesn’t get better than this. With another extremely rare 4.8 out of 5-star average, the Titleist is one of the best, scoring this high with a solid 1,500 reviews. Here’s one of them: “This Titleist glove is the best fitting and softest glove that I have ever used. I have played several other brands before treating myself to a Titleist. I'm converted. I will only play Titleist gloves from now on. Chef's kiss.” -
Best Golf Glove for those with Hand Ailments
Bionic StableGrip Gloves
The Bionic StableGrip uses padded inserts to help players with hand ailments, such as arthritis. However, this extra padding around the palm and each finger increases contact with the club, thereby increasing grip pressure. Generally, such extra grip can help anyone. Still, it should be noted that the use of the Bionic StableGrip is only permitted in USGA competitions with the support of a medical waiver. However, the casual golfer need not worry about that and can use this to their advantage if they find they need the extra gripping power. Coming in with a strong 4.7 out of 5-star average with 2,500 reviews, here’s one of them: “I've written quite a few reviews for the Bionic golf golf so to cap it, I wouldn't buy any other glove very comfortable best padding on a golf gloves I've ever had, brilliant.” -
Most Versatile Golf Glove
FootJoy StaSof Glove
What makes the FootJoy StaSof stand out is its unique balance of grip, durability, and comfortable feel. It’s a triple-threat that neatly packages all the major things players want in a good golf glove. The StaSof uses Taction3 leather, an advanced type of ‘stay-soft’ performance leather that maintains its softness and grip for longer. It’s also designed with good breathability so players can maintain club control even if their hands get sweaty. The gloves help your hands to stay cool, dry, and the leather permits enough flexibility for a comfortable range of motion during every swing. Coming in with a fantastic 4.7 out of 5 stars, the StaSof has had this said about it: “Been a Foot Joy glove fan for 40 years-couldn't play golf without it!...or so it seems! Quality soft leather that stay soft and snug, does not stretch out of shape-only glove I use!” -
Best Value Golf Glove (currently on sale)
Callaway OptiColor Leather
If you are looking for something a bit more fun and eye-catching, the Callaway OptiColor Leather uses a wide assortment of colors. It uses Opti Feel+ leather is made with a good balance of thickness for comfort and performance, and the construction and fit of the gloves are up to standard. The one problem with the gloves is that this particular kind of leather isn’t quite as soft and supple as traditional Cabretta leather. Given its middle-of-the-pack pricing though, it's a good deal in its own right. The OptiColor is great if you have a bit of a bolder taste in design and color and are looking for a glove that fits a good balance of the main criteria. It has got a solid 4.6 out of 5 stars, with lots of glowing Amazon reviews like this one: “Love this glove. Have only used it a few times but seems like it will hold up. Comfortable and fits well. I recommend this to anyone needing a golfing glove!” -
Best Cadet Golf Glove
Callaway Tour Authentic Glove
The Callaway Tour Authentic Glove is the best cadet glove we’ve found. A cadet glove is for when your hand is a bit wider with shorter fingers than average. Callaway’s cadet glove uses Cabretta leather and adds Griptac to help with connection to the club. In addition, the gloves are made to be highly comfortable and use moisture-wicking material to help with breathability and perspiration. The high-performance, well-made glove has also gotten solid reviews on Amazon with a 4.5 out of 5-star average. Here’s one of them: “Great glove. Suggest for everyone. Perfect fit and accurate to standard sizes.” -
Best Synthetic Golf Glove
Under Armour Medal Golf Glove
If you’re looking for a great well-rounded offering, this versatile glove offers an outstanding balance of value and quality. It uses synthetic leather for both a comfortable and durable glove that can withstand various weathers. The material on the palm is textured for a better grip and tacky feel, and the materials are generally lightweight and fast drying. The fit is also helped by the nice stretch of the materials, helped by solid closure tabs. Overall, it’s not one you can go wrong with, especially if you’re happy with synthetic materials. It’s gotten an excellent 4.5 out of 5 stars on average, with one reviewer having this to say: “When you choose a brand like under armour, you know what you're going to get. It's a quality glove. I've played with this a handful of times. It is showing wear but there's no damage to the glove.” -
Best Women's Golf Glove
Titleist Players Women’s Glove
We’ve seen that the Titleist Players Glove is one of the more well-rounded and better gloves on our list. The main difference between that excellent glove and this one is just the sizing, which is made for the different average proportions of women. It’s everything you can want in a golf glove - soft, comfortable, high performing, and well-designed. The leather is quite thin, which provides good feedback to the hand, and is secured using fine gauge velcro and a pair of elastic rows. It’s gotten a stellar 4.7 out of 5-stars on Amazon, with one reviewer saying: “A friend told me how much he loved his fancy FJ gloves, but they didn't seem to come in women's sizes, so I found this from Titleist. The medium fits me perfectly; a little snug, but the leather moves really well and has stretched just a bit to fit. And they are so soft and thin!” -
How to Clean a Golf Glove
Properly cleaning your golf gloves is simple and can be done with common household products. Supplies:- Dish soap
- Paper towels
- Dirty gloves
- Check whether your gloves have lost some of their grip, gotten yellowed or dirty, or otherwise show uncleanliness.
- DO NOT place gloves in a washing machine or dishwasher. Golf gloves are delicate and will lose durability through such washing methods. Instead, take a paper towel and dip it in warm water and soap.
- Take the paper towel, rub all the spots with dirt, and grime in a circular motion.
- Place the glove in a shaded area to dry. Gloves left in the sun can increase their damage.
