About Garage.golf
I don’t have anything to sell you. This site isn’t a store. I'm just a guy (Danny) who stumbled upon home simulator golf and was surprised by how affordable and easy this stuff was to get into. Every time I talk to another golfer they’re curious about how much my setup costs or what kind of tech they need to get into it at varying levels and every time someone plays they are blown away by the experience.

So I documented the things I’ve tried and the setup(s) I use personally and some of the setups friends and family have. What I found when researching my own setup is there isn't much out there for doing things on a budget. Many of the budget guides I’d see relied on second hand gear, craigslist, ebay or garage sales. I didn’t want to deal with that, but so much in the simulator space seemed so overpriced.
My guides are really focused on the low end, without feeling low end. My personal setup also had to be easy to set up and tear down so I could still use it for both of my vehicles. You can find tons of great equipment at stores like PlayBetter.com or Carl's Place (and some of the setups I’ll talk about have components from these stores), but there are some really affordable alternatives to a lot of it, especially hitting mats.
Some of the items you’ll see here are amazon affiliate links where I’ll get a few cents if you buy something but a lot of the links are just plain ol’ links to what I think are great deals. I’m not reviewing a bunch of products I’m just telling you about what works for me (and I haven’t tried everything).
I’ll be working on a few videos and some more setup / installation content but to start with, I’m putting up some shopping lists around the exact setups I’ve had or used, with my thoughts and experiences at each level. If you grab any gear through my links, I appreciate it, but long term I want to develop a brand, a brand that speaks to the community of garage golfers like me. We might not align on everything, but I bet we align on some of the things I love about garage golf.
Oh, I like real golf too. It's just so expensive and time consuming and hard to coordinate. I still get out to touch grass whenever I can, but there are so many reasons I love my garage setup.
